This week kicks off our Air and Asia Unit. We are doing this unit "college style." This means students will be doing a number of reading assignments BEFORE each lesson in order to grow their knowledge and be more involved in their own learning. All of the notes/presentations can be found below and should be utilized.

Welcome back from break! This week we will begin our project called Hunger Defined. In it, we compare hunger issues in Africa and the United States. This project is ongoing and has many parts. Be sure to keep up! On Monday we will begin our research phase by researching a country in Africa to use during the project. On Tuesday, we will have a guest speaker in the auditorium to inform us about the dangers of factory farming. On Wednesday we will begin our plans for our indoor mini garden. On Thursday we will look at labor issues in the food industry and continue the ongoing parts of the project like the food drive and awareness campaigns. On Friday, I will check everyone's progress, we will continue to work on labor issues, and taking the next steps in the project.
