Last week before winter break! This week we will begin our unit on Sub-Saharan Africa and Land Use. On Monday we will work on our Physical and Political Maps. On Tuesday we will explore the many resources Africa has and we will Read Like A Rockstar about Sub-Saharan Africa. Wednesday will be a day to explore the Berlin Conference and Scramble for Africa via various media. On Thursday we will conduct our Soil Lab! And on Friday we will have a notebook quiz and discuss the Hunger Defined PBL that will begin after the break.

I am so excited about this week! On Monday, we will do our first Document Based Question. It is about the conflict between Arabs and Israelis. We will do the initial steps together in class, final draft is due Friday. On Tuesday we will finish our EdPuzzle on the Middle East and North Africa and work on our Country Profiles. On Wednesday, we will research efforts that people around the world are making to create clean water and complete the planning stages for our Water Filtration Lab on Thursday. Thursday is lab day. Please dress accordingly. Friday will be our Unit Test.
