This is week we dive deeper into our Asia Unit. On Monday, we will complete our Gallery Walk and graphic organizers about the major nations of Asia. Students will also have the opportunity to finish working on their maps for the unit. On Tuesday, we will have a notebook quiz and look at social injustices in Asia via research. Social Injustices will carry us into Wednesday and we will begin our Asia notes. Asia notes will wrap up on Thursday and Friday we will examine natural processes and their HUGE impact on the lives of Asian citizens.
Welcom Back! I hope everyone had a safe and fun break. On Monday we will examine social injustices in Africa. On Tuesday we will look at how economic systems work in Africa. Wednesday will be our Unit 4 Test. On Thursday we will begin with our Asia Unit with maps and other activities. On Friday, we will research individual countries in Asia and look at how people live.
Happy Super Bowl Sunday! On Monday we will review for our test on Tuesday over the Middle East and North Africa. On Wednesday we will start our new unit on Sub-Saharan Africa with MAPS! On Thursday we will look at some of the struggles facing Africa, and on Friday we will learn more about some of these struggles and talk about solutions.
Continuing our Middle East and North Africa Unit, Monday we will look at how the region developed and how the differences today came to be. Tuesday we will do a mini project to save the rescues in danger in the region. On Wednesday we will look at the economic activities that keep the region running, and create a brochure to invite people to visit. On Thursday students will do deeper research into individual nations and look at the events that led to their existence. Friday we will have a quiz and revisit our river research to draw conclusions about the MENA region.
